El sistema dispone de s\u00f3lo 1 l\u00ednea con una longitud de 20,1 kilometros, y da servicio a 17 estaciones.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIzmir experiment\u00f3 un auge en el crecimiento de su poblaci\u00f3n en la d\u00e9cada de los 90. En por esto que la ciudad tuvo que reestructurar su sistema de transporte p\u00fablico. La construcci\u00f3n del metro empez\u00f3 en 1995 y comenz\u00f3 a funcionar en mayo de 2000 operada por Izmir Metrosu A.S.. El proyecto cost\u00f3 un total de $ 600 millones y el contrato se adjudic\u00f3 a Yapi Merkezi.\n <\/p>\n<p>\nEl metro actualmente tiene un promedio de 30 millones de pasajeros al a\u00f1o. Por d\u00eda mueve a 173.000 pasajeros y est\u00e1 previsto que esta cifra aumente cuando se terminen las actualizaciones del sistema.\n<\/p>\n<h3>L\u00edneas y estacions del Metro de Izmir<\/h3>\n<p>El metro de Izmir da servicio a lo largo de su trayecto a 17 estaciones.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Evka 3<\/strong> \u2013 Esta estaci\u00f3n abri\u00f3 el 30 de marzo de 2012. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Ege \u00dcniversitesi<\/strong> &#8211; Abierta en la misma fecha que la anterior y con una estructura &#8220;cut cover&#8221; en su plataforma con 2 laterales.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bornova<\/strong> \u2013 Operating since May, 22 2000 the structure, a splitting tunnel design 1 island platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>B\u00f6lge<\/strong> \u2013 Running since May, 22 2000 the structure is of a grade design and with a 1 island platform station.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sanayi<\/strong> \u2013 Operating since May, 22 2000, the graded structure provides a station with a 1 island platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stadyum<\/strong> \u2013 The structure has viaduct design and the line began running in 2000, the station offers a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Halkap\u0131nar<\/strong> \u2013 A grade design stricter with a 2 island platform. The station was part of the original line that began services in May, 22 2000. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Hilal<\/strong> \u2013 The station began operating on May, 22 2000 and with a viaduct design for a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Basmane<\/strong> \u2013 The station is running since May, 22 2000 and has a cut and cover construction design with a 1 island platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00c7ankaya<\/strong> \u2013 Cankaya station operating since May, 22 2000 has a cut and cover design and 1 island platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Konak<\/strong> \u2013 The station is in service since May, 22 2000 and has cut cover design structure with 1 island platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00dc\u00e7yol<\/strong> \u2013 The station operating since May, 22 2000, different than other stations in its deep tunnel design structure with a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u0130zmirspor<\/strong> \u2013 It\u2019s station that came in to service in December, 29 2012 and has cut and cover design structure with a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hatay<\/strong> \u2013 Operating since December, 29 2012 the design structure is cut and cover with a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>G\u00f6ztepe<\/strong> \u2013 It\u2019s a station with a deep tunnel design that came in to operation on March, 25 2014 and has a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Poligon<\/strong> \u2013 The station operating since July 27 2014 has cut and cover tunnel structure with a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>G\u00fczelyal\u0131<\/strong> \u2013 This station had a cut and cover structure with a 2 sided platform but was cancelled for reasons unknown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fahrettin Altay<\/strong> \u2013 Running since July, 27 2014 the station has a cut and cover structure with a 2 sided platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a title=\"By R1410 [CC BY-SA 3.0 \n (https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/3.0\n)], from Wikimedia Commons\" href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Metro_Izmir_map_(2000).png\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" alt=\"Metro Izmir map (2000)\" data-src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/thumb\/e\/e5\/Metro_Izmir_map_%282000%29.png\/512px-Metro_Izmir_map_%282000%29.png\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Izmir Metro Hours and frequency<\/h3>\n<p>\nThe hours of operation are from 6:00am to 12:20am.\n<\/p>\n<p>In the Weekdays, the frequency of service is from 06:00 to 6:30: 10 min. From 06:30 to 20:30: 4.5 min. From 20:30 to 00:20 10 min.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSaturdays, the frequency of service is from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m.: 10 mins.. From 7:00 a.m. to 09:00: 5 mins. From 9:00 to 12:00: 6 mins. From 12:00 to 20:00: 4.5 mins. From 20:00 to 00:20: 10 min.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSundays, from 06:00 to 12:00: 10 mins. From 12:00 to 20:00: 6 mins. From 20:00 to 00:20: 10 mins.\n<\/p>\n<h3>Fares, Tickets and Cards<\/h3>\n<p>\nThe fees vary depending on age and discounted groups. In the city center, no matter if you use bus, subway, ferry or suburban, the fare for an adult is 2,40 TL, for a student is 1,35TL and for a teacher is 1,75TL. If youse use Billet 32 is 1 credit. If you use any transportation within the next 90 minutes the ride is free in the urban centre. Maximum fare you could possibily pay if you ride the subway in other zones is 4,80 for an adult, 2,70 for a student and 3,50 for a teacher. If you use Billet 32, would be 2 credits. Also, there are packs of 3 of 5 tickets that riders can buy. The 3 ride electronic ticket cost 8.5TL, and the 5 pack ticket cost 13TL. Last but not least a 10 ride electronic ticket cost 25TL.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nPrice of Billet 32 tickets is 2 credits 6,00 TL, 3 credits \t8,50TL, 5 credits 13,00 TL and 10 credits 25,00 TL. The ticket is valid for 35 days after it&#8217;s first used.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe metro applies a card based system by which the rider uses a disposable RFID Chip card, or a loadable a RFID chip Kent card. The disposable card lasts up to three rides, while the loadable card can be used multiple times depending on the credit balance of the card. The metro system once had a cash and token system. It was used to pass ticket barriers, but eventually was replaced with current card structure. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\nOne of the most interesting features of the Izmir Metro is card customization. The cards come in different variety from students, teachers, and seniors over 60 years. Also there\u2019s free cards which are available as Police Cards, Postmen Cards, TCI Cards, and cards for seniors 65 and over. All the information about cards can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eshot.gov.tr\/en\/PublicTransportationCards\/366\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">here<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>Student, teacher and seniors card fee is TR 10. TRY 20 fee if you need to have it replaced.<\/p>\n<h3>Park&#8217;n Ride<\/h3>\n<p>\nThe metro offers parking at most stations.\n<\/p>\n<h3>Rules and Tips<\/h3>\n<p>\nPassengers must take note of the following rules set by the metro authority:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Begging in station and trains is prohibited<\/li>\n<li>The metro doesn\u2019t allow food or drinks but water.<\/li>\n<li>Distributing flyers and other propaganda or hanging posters on the wall is not permitted in the stations<\/li>\n<li>People under the effect of alcohol can not ride the metro<\/li>\n<li>Smaller pets are allowed only if there in cages. <\/li>\n<li>Making excessive noise is prohibited while riding the metro.<\/li>\n<li>Taking video and photos without permission is also prohibited.<\/li>\n<li>Bikes are permitted under certain circumstances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El metro de Izmir es un sistema de tren ligero que sirve a la zona metropolitana de Esmirna y la zona noroeste de Bornova.
