Valencia Metro

Valencia Metro is the subway system in the capital of the state of Carabobo in Venezuela. Valecia metro serves the city from the south to the Cerdeño avenue in the city center. It was inaugurated on 18 November 2006 by the President of the Republic, Hugo Chavez. Just one year later began commercial operation, November 18, 2007, with several new stations (Fairs, Michelena, Santa Rosa and Lara), and a total length of 6.2 kms. It is used daily by more than 60,000 passengers.

Lines and stations

Valencia Metro is 7 kms long and has a total of 7 stations, although there are several more under construction.
Most of the stations circulate are underground.

Valencia metro currently has 1 built line, line 1. Line 2 has several stations operational. The system is expected to gradually grow to a total of 31 stations and 4 lines.

Fares and tickets

Standard ticket costs 4,00 BsF.
The elderly and disabled ride free.

Metro Valencia hours and frequency

Although the trains should run every four minutes, the actual frequency is 10 minutes during rush hour and 20 minutes normal schedule.

The metro runs from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 pm

Accessibility

Stations can be accessed via the fixed stations and escalators. There you can purchase your Fichas and Tarjetas Recargables. From here you access the platforms. Not really accessible ready stations.
